Credentialing is a process that ensures healthcare professionals meet specific standards and possess the necessary qualifications to perform their jobs. Here’s an overview of how it works for Grow Therapy providers:

Verification and Assessment: Credentialing involves verifying and assessing the qualifications, professional experience, and background of the provider. This is akin to a background check for medical professionals.

CAQH Database: Providers need to create and maintain a CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare) account. Insurance and credentialing companies use this database to verify information such as licenses, malpractice insurance, and NPI numbers. Providers upload these documents to CAQH to avoid submitting them to each payor individually.

Credentialing Intake: Providers submit their credentials via an onboarding form.

Credentialing Committee: The submitted credentials are reviewed by a credentialing committee, which ensures that the provider meets all necessary standards and qualifications.

Credentialing Status: Providers can track their credentialing status through a Credentialing Portal. This portal provides updates on the progress and any required actions.

Insurance Network Approval: Once approved by the credentialing committee and in-network with at least one insurance (excluding Medicaid/Medicare/Humana), providers can be onboard to the platform and start seeing clients.

Ongoing Maintenance: Providers must keep their credentials updated, including renewing their malpractice insurance and updating their CAQH profile as necessary.

This process ensures that providers are qualified and meet the necessary standards to deliver healthcare services through Grow Therapy. Additional credentialing resources are available in the help center collection below:
