Learn more about the enrollment process for Georgia Medicaid as a Grow Therapy provider.

Updated over 2 months ago

Grow Therapy does not allow providers to bill directly with Medicare or Medicaid. Instead, Grow works with Managed Care plans, which require separate enrollment processes from the state. If you choose to enroll with and see Medicare or Medicaid clients, Grow automatically enrolls you with the Managed Care plans available in your licensed state(s).

Key Takeaways

  • Grow Therapy providers are not automatically enrolled in Medicaid. You must indicate your interest in enrollment by completing this form.

  • Grow Therapy's Enrollment Team communicates crucial information and next steps via email, so please ensure provider-credentialing@growtherapy.com is added to your contacts list.

  • If you are currently credentialed with Georgia Medicaid, a new application is required for all providers so that Grow Therapy's service location can be associated with the individual provider's enrollment record.

  • Providers must revalidate their information with Medicaid every five years.

FAQs

Will I automatically be enrolled with Georgia Medicaid?

No, Grow Therapy will only enroll a provider with Georgia Medicaid if:

  • You meet all Georgia Medicaid requirements.

  • You have informed Grow Therapy you are interested in working with Medicaid clients. You can update your Medicaid preferences here.

What provider types are eligible for enrollment with Georgia Medicaid?

All Grow Therapy providers, regardless of license type, are eligible for enrollment with Georgia Medicaid through Grow Therapy.

Is Georgia Medicaid available on the platform?

Yes, Georgia Medicaid is live and active and can be utilized as a benefit on the Grow Therapy platform. This means providers enrolled in Georgia Medicaid can see clients who are part of our designated Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) that partner with Georgia Medicaid.

What documentation does the Georgia Medicaid application require?

  • Complete and notarized copy of the Power of Attorney form (explained below).

  • Current copy of your Certificate of Insurance (COI).

  • An up-to-date copy of your Resume/Curriculum Vitae with applicable start and end dates for each position held.

    • The format for the date should be MM/YYYY- MM/YYYY for processing.

  • Copy of your professional license.

  • For Nurse Practitioners, a copy of your certification is required.

What is the Power of Attorney (POA) Form, and why is it required?

The POA Form is necessary for the provider to receive reimbursement from the Department of Community Health (DCH). This form does not provide any other permissions and is strictly for proper payments and reimbursements for services rendered. This form must be notarized to be qualified for submission with the provider's application. Grow Therapy will provide notarization services for the provider.

How do I complete and notarize a Power of Attorney (POA) form?

Once the provider has expressed interest in seeing Medicaid clients, the Enrollment Team will email further instructions. The POA form will be completed through a third-party website called Proof. Grow Therapy has partnered with Proof to provide a free notary service to ease the administration load of this process.

The completed form will be in the Proof portal for our group, and the Enrollment Team will be notified to begin the submission process.

How is the application submitted?

Once our enrollment team receives your completed POA form, Grow Therapy submits the application through the Georgia Medicaid Management Information System (GAMMIS).

Does a new application need to be submitted if I've previously credentialed with Georgia Medicaid?

Yes. If you are currently credentialed with Georgia Medicaid, a new application is required for all providers so that Grow Therapy's service location can be associated with the individual provider's enrollment record.

How will I be notified if there are errors in the application?

If Georgia Medicaid finds an error in the application or requires additional information, a Request for Information will be sent to Grow Therapy to complete. If the Enrollment Team requires further information or clarification to answer the Request for Information, they will email you directly.

How long will it be before I'm approved once the application has been submitted?

Georgia Medicaid's standard processing time is 60 days after submission. If you have questions about your application, contact the Enrollment Team at provider-credentialing@growtherapy.com.

What happens once I'm approved?

Once Georgia Medicaid processes and approves the application, Grow Therapy automatically enrolls you in all the Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) we work with in Georgia.

Your application status will be reflected on the Grow Therapy platform and automatically become available in your referral options when you're ready to start seeing Georgia clients with Medicaid.

How often do I need to revalidate my information?

Providers must revalidate their information with Medicaid every five years. All state Medicaids require this to ensure enrollment information is accurate and up-to-date. You will receive notifications 90 days before your revalidation due date, with instructions on performing the revalidation.
