Selecting a default verification method simplifies the login process and ensures consistent account security. This article will help you choose your default identity verification method, making using your Grow account easier and more secure.
πTIP: Information on enabling two-step verification is available here.
Why should you choose a default verification method?
Establishing a default verification method guarantees you have a primary, preferred approach for confirming your identity when logging into or conducting sensitive actions in your Grow account. This reduces confusion about which method to use, accelerates the login process, and maintains consistency in security practices.
Grow currently allows identity verification using your mobile phone number or an authenticator app like Duo Mobile, Google Authenticator, or Okta Verify.
How to select a default option
The last verification method used will be your default moving forward. To update the default option for future identity verifications:
From the "Verify Your Identity" screen, locate the phone number preview field.
Click the > icon to the right of the phone number field to display a list of your registered phone numbers.
Select your preferred number from the list.
If you prefer to verify your identity using a different method, select Choose a Different 2FA Method to select a recovery code or an authenticator app.
Select your preferred method of verification from the list.
The newly selected method will be used moving forward.
