Learn some of the bests ways to market yourself and increase traffic to your profile.

Updated over a week ago

Starting your private practice is an exciting time filled with many opportunities, and Grow Therapy is proud to partner with you on this journey.

While the Grow Therapy team automatically markets your practice in various ways, there are various other activities you should consider to attract client attention, gain referrals, and build your practice.

Below are some helpful tips and resources. While these are not required, these are great strategies to consider as you seek to expand your reach as a provider.

πŸ—“οΈ Availability

Do you have enough availability to see clients? The more open slots you have on your calendar, the more likely Grow's team will be able to book clients with you. To learn more, check out this post from Grow Therapy's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Alan Ni on the Provider Community.

Have you considered seeing clients in person? Grow Therapy providers are seeing rising demand for in-person sessions. To learn more, check out this post from Rishi Narula, an Operations Manager, on the Provider Community.

ℹ️ TIP: Additional information on joining and accessing the Provider Community is available in this article.

🏘️ Community Outreach

Many local physicians and organizations want to connect people with mental health resources. Consider reaching out to these groups (e.g., primary care doctors, rehab centers, schools, etc.) to let them know who you work with so they can keep you in mind and send clients your way.

🀝 Personal Network

Practices often receive inquiries from clients they cannot accept due to staffing, fit, or insurance coverage. Reach out to other mental health professionals in your network to let them know who you work with so they can keep you in mind and send clients your way. This type of arrangement is often a Win-Win-Win as the client has an easier and more seamless experience accessing care, the originating practice gets to help a client in need, and you can expand your clientele.

🩺 Provider Community

Check out these tips and resources from the Provider Community. If you're not already a member, information on joining the Community is available here.

  • Attracting Clients: The Attracting Clients space offers advice on attracting clients and growing your practice.

  • Clinical Best Practices: The Clinical spaces offer advice and resources on how to provide care, document care, perform audits, and more.

  • Define Your Niche: By developing a niche, you not only help people identify you as the perfect person for them to partner with for their mental health, but you also get to have session after session with individuals you truly have a passion for helping heal. Need help defining your niche? Check out this guide and consider joining some of the Community's many "niche" spaces here.

  • Referral Partners: Building relationships and cultivating a strong, thriving referral partner network is one of the best ways to get new clients. Consider joining your state or practice area's space to connect with other providers in your area.

  • Practice Management: If you need advice on properly managing your business, visit the various practice management spaces.

πŸ–₯️ Website

A practice website helps you connect with potential clients, establish credibility, and provide valuable information to prospective clients. Although it is not required, especially since Grow Therapy will generate referrals from various sources on your behalf, many clients still attempt to research and verify a potential provider, and a practice website will make that quicker and easier for them.

If you are interested in creating a website, check out the resources below:

Also, consider adding your custom scheduling link to your website so clients can conveniently schedule an appointment.

πŸ’š Social Media

For many of Grow Therapy's most successful providers, social media is a powerful tool for building their brand and advertising their practice to prospective clients. Participation and visibility on various social platforms are strongly encouraged, as they are proven ways to increase the chances of bringing new clients to your practice.
