Manage recurring measures & check-ins

Learn how to manage recurring measures and client check-ins.

Updated over a month ago

Measurement Informed Care (MIC) helps improve client outcomes and is a standard of care at Grow Therapy. By default, measures are sent with a client's intake forms and, after that, every three appointments as part of recurring check-ins. This regularity ensures that you, as the clinician, are always in tune with your client's progress, providing a sense of reassurance and confidence in your practice. You can choose which measures best fit your practice by configuring your settings, sending customized check-ins, and using client responses to inform treatment plans.

Key Takeaways

  • By default, clients receive initial measures after booking an intake and then every three appointments unless you configure your settings.

  • Measures do not override your clinical judgment— documentation supporting medical necessity, regardless of measures, is key.

  • Providers can send customized measures to individual clients at their preferred frequency.

  • You can access client measurement results in each client profile and your Grow Therapy Telehealth meeting room.

Preview the client experience

After the initial intake measures are completed, clients are screened with the PHQ2 and GAD2, the first two questions of the PHQ9 and GAD7, to quickly identify those needing further evaluation. If clients score over three (3) on any screener, they are prompted to complete the full assessment.

Clients receive measures in a 'mental health check-in' bundle and will be reminded twice to complete them.

When clients regularly complete their check-ins, they can track their progress in their client portal. This insight allows clients to quantify their symptoms and better understand their experience. Measures do not override your clinical judgment. Documentation supporting medical necessity, regardless of measures, is vital.
