Grow Therapy does not allow providers to bill directly with Medicare or Medicaid. Instead, Grow works with Managed Care plans, which require separate enrollment processes from the state. If you choose to enroll with and see Medicare or Medicaid clients, Grow automatically enrolls you with the Managed Care plans available in your licensed state(s).

Will I automatically be enrolled with Florida Medicaid?

No, Grow Therapy will only enroll a provider with Florida Medicaid if:

  • You meet all Florida Medicaid requirements.

  • You reside in the state of Florida, and this is reflected in your Grow Therapy profile.

  • You have informed Grow Therapy you are interested in working with Medicaid clients. You can update your Medicaid preferences here.

What provider types are eligible for Credentialing/Enrollment with Florida Medicaid?

All Grow Therapy providers, regardless of license type, are eligible for enrollment with Florida Medicaid through Grow Therapy.

Which stages of the Florida Medicaid enrollment process have started?

The Enrollment Team is currently affiliating Existing Providers, or providers with an active Florida Medicaid number, with Grow Therapy under Florida Medicaid. Eligible providers will be contacted to begin enrollment as soon as they appear in the queue.

Currently, the Enrollment Team is building our processes for enrolling Initial Providers, or providers who have never been enrolled with Florida Medicaid. Once these processes are built, applications will be submitted in waves until all applications for all eligible providers who have expressed the desire to enroll with Medicaid have been submitted.

What documentation does the Florida Medicaid application require?

Existing Providers are only required to provide the Enrollment team with your login credentials for the Florida Medicaid provider portal. This information is collected through the form you receive from Grow Therapy at the beginning of the Florida Medicaid enrollment process.

The documentation requirements for Initial Providers vary according to licensure type. The Enrollment Team will send you a message requesting the information and unique documents needed for your application.


How is the application submitted?

For Existing Providers (providers who already have an active Florida Medicaid number): The Enrollment Team will contact the provider for the login credentials for their individual Florida Medicaid Provider Portal account. Once working login credentials are received, the team initiates an affiliation request on the provider’s account.

For Initial Providers (providers who are not enrolled with Florida Medicaid or were formerly enrolled but whose enrollment is inactive): This workflow is under construction.

  • When enrollment for Initial Providers begins, eligible providers will receive a message from the Enrollment Team requesting additional information or documents required for their application.

  • Once all requested information is received, the application will be submitted to Florida Medicaid.

Does a new application need to be submitted if I've previously credentialed with Florida Medicaid?

If your enrollment with Florida Medicaid is still active, a new application will not be completed, but your enrollment must still be affiliated with Grow Therapy. The Enrollment Team will submit a request to affiliate you with Grow Therapy. A new application must be submitted if your enrollment has expired or terminated.


What if I’m enrolled with Florida Medicaid but don’t have access to my Medicaid Portal Account?

Reach out to our Enrollment Team at provider-credentialing@growtherapy.com. They will walk you through retrieving your login credentials.

What is the process for getting my fingerprints taken?

Florida Medicaid requires all license types to complete a standard background check and fingerprinting. Grow Therapy's Enrollment Team will email you detailed instructions on how to do this. A brief overview of the process is listed below:

  • Fingerprints are collected by appointment through specific vendors approved by Medicaid and Florida Law Enforcement. Click here to find the nearest kiosk.

  • You have one week from submitting your application to complete your fingerprinting and background check. Our team will contact you when your window of time is approaching.

  • You must bring two forms of identification with photo ID such as a driver’s license, passport, federal, state, or local government agency ID card, etc.

How will I be notified if there are errors in the application?

If Florida Medicaid finds an error in the application or requires additional information, a Request for Information will be sent to Grow Therapy to complete. If the Enrollment Team requires additional information or clarification to answer the Request for Information, they will email you directly.

How long will it be before I'm approved once the application has been submitted?

For Existing Providers: Approximately two weeks

For Initial Providers: Once you submit your application, most providers will require you to have your fingerprints taken for a background check. Grow Therapy and Florida Medicaid's fingerprinting vendor will provide instructions and facilities.

  • You have 10 days to get fingerprints taken.

  • The background check results can take up to 30 days to be sent to Florida Medicaid.

  • Once Florida Medicaid has the background check results, it can take up to a week for them to finish processing the application, a total of about 6 weeks.

What happens once I’m approved?

When Florida Medicaid processes and approves the application, the Enrollment Team automatically enrolls you in all Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) Grow Therapy partners with in Florida.

Your application status will be reflected on the Grow Therapy platform and automatically become available in your referral options when you're ready to start seeing Florida clients with Medicaid.

How often do I need to re-validate my information?

Providers must revalidate their information with Medicaid every five years. All state Medicaids require this to ensure enrollment information is accurate and up-to-date. You will receive notifications 90 days before your revalidation due date, with instructions on performing the revalidation.
