Learn more about the enrollment process for Maryland Medicaid as a Grow Therapy provider.

Updated over a month ago

Grow Therapy does not allow providers to bill directly with Medicare or Medicaid. Instead, Grow works with Managed Care plans, which require separate enrollment processes from the state. If you choose to enroll with and see Medicare or Medicaid clients, Grow automatically enrolls you with the Managed Care plans available in your licensed state(s).

Key Takeaways

  • Grow Therapy providers are not automatically enrolled in Medicaid. You must indicate your interest in enrollment by completing this form.

  • Grow Therapy's Credentialing Team communicates crucial information and next steps via email, so please ensure provider-credentialing@growtherapy.com is added to your contacts list.

  • If you are currently credentialed with Maryland Medicaid, a new application is required for all providers. The Credentialing team will still need to submit a request to affiliate you with Grow Therapy through ePREP.

  • Providers must revalidate their information with Medicaid every five years.

FAQs

Will I automatically be enrolled with Maryland Medicaid?

No, Grow Therapy will only enroll a provider with Maryland Medicaid if:

  • You meet all Maryland Medicaid requirements.

  • You have informed Grow Therapy you are interested in working with Medicaid clients. You can update your Medicaid preferences here.

  • You have access to your ePREP account or have authorized Grow Therapy to create one for you.

What provider types are eligible for enrollment with Maryland Medicaid?

All Grow Therapy providers, regardless of license type, are eligible for enrollment with Georgia Medicaid through Grow Therapy.

What documentation does the Maryland Medicaid application require?

Upon initiating your Maryland Medicaid application, the Credentialing Team will email you a form to complete. This form will ask you various questions to ensure you meet the requirements for participation with Maryland Medicaid and will also confirm that you authorize Grow Therapy to set up an ePREP account on your behalf if you do not already have one.

Additionally, Maryland Medicaid may ask some providers to supply a copy of their Social Security card to verify their SSN eligibility for enrollment. If this occurs, a Grow Therapy Credentialing Team member will contact you to request a copy. Please send the copy securely, and we will upload it to ePREP.

What is the ePREP Portal?

ePREP stands for Electronic Provider Revalidation and Enrollment Portal. Maryland Medicaid has created this portal to streamline and consolidate the enrollment and credentialing process for Maryland Medicaid. All applications and changes to your provider data must be submitted electronically through ePREP.

Important ePREP account information

The ePREP portal links your individual NPI to the email address used to create your account. If Grow Therapy is setting up your account, the team will use the email they have on file for you. If you or a previous employer created an account for you, please ensure that you have access to that account and use the correct email to access your NPI, even if that email differs from the one on file with Grow Therapy.

Please do not register a new account under a different email address, as it will be challenging to switch your NPI over if you do.

If you need assistance gaining access to your account or need to change the email connected to your NPI, please contact the ePREP hotline at 844-463-7768.

How is the application submitted?

Once the Grow Therapy Credentialing Team has received all applicable documents or information, they will utilize the ePREP Portal to submit your application:

  • If you are new to Maryland Medicaid: The Credentialing Team will create your ePREP account on your behalf using the email address on file and submit your application through your account. No further action will be required on your part.

  • If you previously enrolled with Maryland Medicaid before joining Grow Therapy: The Credentialing Team will submit a request through our ePREP account to affiliate you with Grow Therapy.

    • Next, the Credentialing Team will email you to notify you that you must log in to your ePREP account and e-sign this affiliation application.

    • This email will include instructions to assist you in logging in and performing the e-signature.

If you need assistance accessing your ePREP account, please contact the ePREP hotline at 844-463-7768.

Does a new application need to be submitted if I've previously credentialed with Maryland Medicaid?

Yes, even if you were enrolled with Maryland Medicaid before joining Grow Therapy, the Credentialing team will still need to submit a request to affiliate you with Grow Therapy through ePREP. In this case, your request will be more simplified and expedited versus enrolling with Maryland Medicaid as a new provider. Still, you must log in to your individual ePREP account and e-sign the affiliation application.

If you need assistance accessing your ePREP account, please contact the ePREP hotline at 844-463-7768.

How long will it be before I'm approved once the application has been submitted?

Maryland Medicaid's standard processing time is 15 days after submission. If you have questions about your application, contact the Enrollment Team at provider-credentialing@growtherapy.com.

What happens once I'm approved?

Once Maryland Medicaid processes and approves the application, Grow Therapy automatically enrolls you in all the Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) we work with in Maryland.

Your application status will be reflected on the Grow Therapy platform and automatically become available in your referral options when you're ready to start seeing Maryland clients with Medicaid.

How often do I need to revalidate my information?

Providers must revalidate their information with Medicaid every five years. All state Medicaids require this to ensure enrollment information is accurate and up-to-date. You will receive notifications 90 days before your revalidation due date, with instructions on performing the revalidation.
