Ensuring accurate and up-to-date insurance information is saved in your client portal can avoid potential issues with claim denials, unexpected costs, and administrative hassles, leading to a smoother and more efficient care experience.
Key Points
You can update and verify your insurance information directly in your client dashboard by navigating to Account โ My coverage โ Edit, entering your new details, verifying coverage, and saving the changes.
Your updated insurance will apply to all future appointments, and if a new plan isnโt accepted by a booked provider, you may need to switch to cash pay or cancel those sessions.
Member IDs are blurred for privacy, and changing insurance may affect your payments (e.g., you may need to meet a new deductible).
Update your insurance information
To edit your insurance information:
Log into your client dashboard here.
Select the Account option from the sidebar menu.
In the My Coverage tab, select Edit next to your existing information.
Input your new information, including your insurance carrier and member ID.

Lastly, make sure to select the Save option.
Your insurance information is now up-to-date. The new information will be used for all future appointments.
Frequently asked questions
Why am I unable to see my member ID? Grow Therapy blurs Member IDs to protect your privacy. Only Grow and your insurance company can securely access your full Member ID; providers and those with access to your client portal cannot view it explicitly. This helps prevent potential exposure of personal health information (PHI) and ensures a consistent, secure experience across the platform.
How does editing my insurance information affect my payments? When switching insurance or updating to a different plan, you may have to meet a new deductible to see lower costs kick in. If you are unsure how much your deductible is, please contact your insurance provider.
