Switch payment methods

Learn how to switch between using insurance or cash to see providers.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Your client portal enables you to update your billing methods, including your insurance information, or switch to cash payment for your sessions. You may choose to pay cash instead of using your insurance coverage for several reasons, including:

  • High Deductibles: Individuals with large deductibles might find that their provider's cash rate is much lower than the contracted rate they would be charged per session while working towards meeting their deductible.

  • Simplicity and Control: Some individuals prefer the simplicity of paying out of pocket and may want to avoid dealing with insurance companies. Paying cash can give them more control over their healthcare expenses.

  • Insurance Not Accepted: If an individual's insurance is not accepted by their preferred provider, they may switch to cash-pay instead. This allows them to continue working with that provider instead of switching to someone else.
