Step 1: Gather your information

Preparing your documents before contacting your insurance provider will help ensure everything goes smoothly. Be sure to have the following information ready when verifying your benefits:

👤 Personal information

  • Full name

  • Date of birth

  • Insurance member ID number (found on your insurance card)

Step 2: Contact your insurance provider

To verify your mental healthcare benefits, start by calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card. Let the representative know that you're calling to confirm coverage for outpatient services at Grow Therapy.

The most important thing to confirm is whether Grow Therapy is an in-network provider. If necessary, be ready to provide the Grow Therapy Tax ID and NPI number listed above for additional verification.

🔑 Key questions to ask during the call:

  • Are outpatient mental health services covered under my plan?

  • Is Grow Therapy in-network?

  • Is pre-authorization required before starting therapy?

  • What’s my copay or coinsurance per session?

  • What is my deductible, and how much have I met?

  • Are there session limits for therapy services?

Step 3: Document the information

During your call, make sure to write down the following:

  • 📞 Representative’s name

  • 📅 Date and time of the call

  • 📝 Answers to the questions you asked

  • 💬 Any additional information provided by your insurance company

Keeping a thorough record will help you reference the details later if needed and ensure that you have a record of the conversation for future follow-ups.

Contact support

If your insurance company requests additional information, you can contact the Billing Support Team through your client portal. If you're not yet a Grow Therapy client, you can reach out via the Contact Us page, where the help widget is available in the lower right corner.
