Customize your search
To begin your search:
Navigate to the provider search tool on Grow Therapy's homepage.
Use the drop-down to choose between talk therapy and medication management, then select your state and insurance or self-pay preference..
š Note: Selecting Talk therapy connects you with therapists who provide counseling. Selecting Medication management shows providers who can prescribe and manage medication as part of your treatment plan. Read more about which option is right for you.
Select Find a provider once you've made your selections.
You may be asked a series of questions to help personalize your matches. Answer each question, and select Next.
A personalized list of providers who match your criteria will appear. Use the More filters drop-down at the top of the page to explore all available options and further narrow your search.
š Note: Filters include therapy format, provider availability, language, preferred treatment methods, and more. As you adjust your preferences, the list will automatically update to reflect your selections.
Review provider profiles
Once youāve narrowed your search, review individual provider profiles to learn more about theirĀ qualificationsĀ and practice. Selecting View profile will open the provider's complete profile in a new tab. From there, you can scroll down or use the tabs to learn more about their experience, strengths, specialties, and other practice details.
Ratings and reviews
Provider ratings reflect the experiences of other clients and can give you useful insight into a provider's communication style, approach, and professionalism. Browsing ratings and reviews is a good way to get a sense of fit before you book.

The cost of therapy varies depending on your insurance plan and the provider you choose. Here's how to get a clear picture of what to expect before you book.
Self-pay rates
If you're paying out of pocket, the cost of therapy will vary depending on the therapistās rates. You can find these listed in each therapistās profile, so you'll know what to expect upfront.
Insurance coverage
If you're using insurance, the cost of therapy will depend on your plan's benefits. Grow Therapy offers transparency around pricing, including a cost estimate tool to help you find therapists who accept your insurance and get an estimate of your out-of-pocket costs. Book an appointment
Once you've found the right provider, you can schedule your first appointment using the interactive availability calendar or selecting Schedule at the bottom of the screen.
Next, you'll be prompted to provide your contact information, insurance details, and payment information. You must also accept Grow Therapy's policies before confirming your appointment.
After booking your first appointment, you'll receive an email confirmation with details on how to activate your client portal. From your portal, you can:
Frequently asked questions
What if I can't find a time that works for me with my desired provider? Try looking at future dates on the provider's calendar. Once you book an appointment with a provider, you can contact them using your client portal. Send them a message and inquire if an earlier time is possible with their schedule. Otherwise, you can use the filters to search for providers available within 72 hours.
What if a specific provider doesn't appear in my search results? A provider may not appear in your search if the current filters don't match their profile ā for example, if they're licensed in a different state, don't accept your insurance, or aren't taking new clients. Try these steps:
Remove or adjust your filters, especially insurance and specialty, to see if they appear.
Try starting a new search from the homepage.
Clear your browser's cookies and cache, then reload the page. For best results, use the latest version of Google Chrome.
If the provider still doesn't appear after adjusting your search, contact the New Client Bookings team at (646) 687-9932. They can help confirm availability and assist with booking.
What if I'm having trouble entering my insurance? If you're having trouble entering your insurance information, double-check that your name is spelled exactly as on your insurance card (including spaces, dashes, and apostrophes) and that your Member ID has no typos. When will I be charged, and how much will it cost? Grow Therapy does not charge your card on file until we hear back from your insurance company confirming the amount you are responsible for. This typically occurs 3ā4 weeks after your appointment. If you're a self-pay client, you can expect a charge 2ā3 days after your provider submits your session invoice. What if I need to change my appointment time? If you've booked a full-length appointment, are over 24 hours before the start time, and have activated your client portal, you can independently reschedule it. Otherwise, feel free to reach out to your provider directly for help with adjusting your appointment time. Providers are not obligated to change appointment times with less than 24-hour notice, as indicated in Grow's cancellation policy.
