Use provider ratings to make well-informed choices about your care.

Updated over a week ago

Provider reviews can be a helpful tool for making an informed decision about your care. Reading others' experiences can help you better understand whether a therapist's expertise and personality align with your needs.

Key Takeaways

  • Provider ratings and reviews offer insight into expertise and personality.

  • Reviews are moderated for privacy and content guidelines before posting.

  • Reviews are anonymous, with personal health information removed.

  • Providers can't edit or delete negative reviews.

What are provider ratings and reviews?

Provider ratings offer a quick snapshot of previous clients' experiences with a therapist or prescriber. These ratings and reviews are available in search results and individual provider profiles.

Grow Therapy provider ratings are based on a 5-star ⭐️ scale. If a provider has received ratings, their profile will display the average rating, the number of data points used to calculate the score, and the number of written reviews available.

Provider rating

A provider's average rating and available reviews can be influenced by several factors, including:

  • New to Grow Therapy: If a provider has been with Grow for less than four months and hasn't yet received a rating, their profile will display “New to Grow.”

  • No ratings yet: If a provider has been with Grow for more than four months but hasn't been rated, their profile will show “No reviews yet.”

  • No written reviews: If a provider has received ratings but no written reviews, their profile will only display the average rating score.

🌟 TIP: If a provider is new to Grow Therapy or hasn't received client reviews, don't worry—they are still highly qualified. You can review their qualifications and bio to assess whether they meet your needs.

How are ratings and reviews collected?

After each session, clients are asked to complete a brief survey, which includes the option to write a review about their experience. Reviews are only shared publicly with the client's consent.

Before publishing, Grow Therapy's moderation team ensures written reviews adhere to our Review Guidelines and Terms, preventing the inclusion of protected health information (PHI), inappropriate language, or feedback that is unrelated to the provider.

How do I submit a rating or review?

After your session, you’ll receive an email or message in the client portal prompting you to share your feedback. You can select a star rating for your provider and choose whether to leave a written review. Check the consent box to share your review publicly on the provider’s profile. If you leave the box unchecked, your comments will remain private.

Once submitted, your review will undergo a moderation process. If approved, it will appear on the provider’s profile within a few business days. To find written reviews, scroll down the provider's profile or click the "Reviews" tab.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What information is shared about me in my review?

All written reviews are displayed anonymously. We may show limited demographic information (e.g., age range, gender) only if it’s non-identifiable and you consent to make your feedback public.

Will the provider see my review?

Yes, likely. If you consent to make your review public, it will be accessible to both your provider and potential clients. While identifiable details may be hidden, the provider might be able to identify you based on the content of the review. If you’re concerned about your provider seeing your feedback, be sure to uncheck the consent box before submitting your review.

Can I update or remove my review after it’s submitted?

Please contact our support team if you need to make changes or remove your review.

What if my review includes personal health information by mistake?

Our moderation process is designed to catch and remove PHI before reviews are posted. If you notice PHI in your published review, contact support so we can remove it.

Can providers remove a negative review?

Providers cannot remove, edit, or respond publicly to negative reviews. We understand that not every client experience is perfect, but negative reviews will still be posted as long as they meet our moderation guidelines (e.g., no inappropriate language or PHI).

How soon will my review appear on the provider’s profile?

Most reviews are posted within a few business days. However, the moderation process may take longer during periods of high submission volume.

Do I have to write a comment, or can I just leave a star rating?

You can choose to leave just a star rating if you prefer. Written reviews are optional, but they can be very helpful to other clients seeking more detailed information.
