Updated over 3 weeks ago

Your feedback is valuable—it helps improve care, promotes transparency, and supports others in making informed decisions about their mental health journey. This guide walks you through the step-by-step process of leaving a provider rating and review so you can confidently share your experience.

Key Takeaways:

  • You will receive a feedback survey via email after your first and fifth appointments with a provider.

  • Written reviews are optional. You can leave just a star rating if preferred.

  • Check consent boxes to share your review publicly or with your provider.

  • Reviews are anonymous, with personal health information (PHI) removed.

  • Providers can't edit or delete negative reviews.

Leave a rating and review via the survey email

After your first and fifth appointments, you'll receive a feedback survey via email. Follow these steps to leave a provider rating and review:

  • Locate and open the survey email.

  • Select your star rating. The scale ranges from 1 to 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars, with 1 star indicating a poor experience and 5 stars representing an excellent one. Choose the number that aligns with how you felt about your session.

  • After selecting your star rating, a new window will open where you can optionally provide details about your provider's therapy style and a written review. These fields are not required to submit your rating.

  • On the same page, you can also check the appropriate boxes if you'd like your review to appear on the provider's profile or be shared with your provider. If you leave these boxes unchecked, your comments will remain private.

Ratings and reviews | FAQs

What information is shared about me in my review? All written reviews are displayed anonymously. We may show limited demographic information (e.g., age range, gender) only if it's non-identifiable and you consent to make your feedback public.

Will the provider see my review? Yes, in most cases. If you consent to make your review public, it will be visible to both your provider and potential clients. Although your name and identifiable details are not shown, your provider may recognize you based on the content of the review. If you prefer to keep your feedback private, be sure to uncheck the consent box before submitting.

What if my review includes PHI by mistake? The moderation process is designed to detect and remove PHI before a review is published. If you notice PHI in a posted review, please contact the Support Team.

Can providers remove a negative review? No. Providers cannot remove, edit, or respond publicly to reviews, including negative ones. Reviews will be posted as long as they meet our moderation guidelines (e.g., no inappropriate language or PHI).

How soon will my review appear on the provider's profile? Most reviews are posted within a few business days. However, the moderation process may take longer during periods of high submission volume.

Do I have to write a comment, or can I just leave a star rating? Written comments are optional. You can submit just a star rating if you prefer, though written reviews provide valuable context for others seeking care.
