Overview - learn why Grow is adding AI features to the platform.
Grow AI seamlessly integrates into Grow Telehealth and your Grow client portal to assist you and your provider with progress tracking, such as session summaries. This allows you to focus on being present in each session, maximizing care. These features are optional and require your consent to be used.
Why introduce AI into the Grow suite of tools? There are a few fundamental factors in the team's decision to introduce AI into the platform, including:
Keep moving forward: While you’re in therapy sessions, your provider is taking notes on your work together to ensure they can guide you to achieve your goals. With AI-enabled summaries, your provider can ensure they’re fully present in the session and not miss a thing. With your provider, Grow has one singular aim: to support your progress on your mental health journey.
Always be on the same page: It can be hard to remember details and discussions from previous therapy sessions. Your provider can now choose to provide a brief AI-enabled summary after your session, including what you discussed and your next steps, so you can always be in sync.
Stay in the driver’s seat: Therapy is about you and your experience, and you have choices. In your portal settings, you can update your consent to AI-enabled summaries or choose to pause summarization in your session at any time.
Your sessions are secure and private: What you talk about in your sessions is handled with the utmost care. AI-enabled session summaries are encrypted and subject to Grow’s strict security standards. Additionally, AI-enabled summarization models will not be trained based on your session data.

Is consenting to this feature mandatory to join sessions?
No, you can use Grow Telehealth without using this feature.
Does my consent apply to all providers that I see?
No, your consent is on a per-provider basis.
Can I toggle consent per provider?
Yes, you can toggle your consent per provider.
Can I toggle consent per session?
No, you cannot toggle your consent per session today.
Why don’t I see an option to consent?
You will only see the option to consent if a provider has turned on this feature. A consent prompt will appear during your session.
Can I change my consent mid-session?
No, changes in consent mid-session will only be applied to future sessions. You can pause the summarization at any point by clicking the pause button. The individual who clicks pause must also choose to resume.

Where can I find my after-visit summary (AVS)?
If your provider chooses to share the after-visit summary with you, it will be sent via text and email. Once it’s sent, you can also find it in the appointments tab within your client portal, as seen below.
Where can I edit my consent?
You can change your consent in the Account settings of your client portal.
How can I tell if a session is being summarized?
When a session is actively being summarized, the 𓂃🖊 Transcribing indicator will appear in the top left of each party's Telehealth room. You can pause the transcription by clicking the Pause icon in the Telehealth menubar.
