Join a telehealth session in the iOS mobile app

Connect with your provider for a secure video session using the Grow Therapy mobile app.

The Grow Therapy mobile app lets you join your scheduled telehealth sessions directly from your iPhone β€” no browser needed. This guide walks you through how to join your session, adjust your settings, and troubleshoot common issues.

  • A Join session button will appear in your appointment details up to 10 minutes before your session starts.

Before your session


Make sure your device is ready before your appointment:

  • Enable camera and microphone access. The first time you join a session, you'll be prompted to allow access. You can also enable these permissions in your iPhone Settings β†’ Apps β†’ Grow Therapy.

  • Check your connection. A strong Wi-Fi or cellular connection will help ensure a smooth session.

  • Close background apps that may be using your camera or microphone.


Join your session


Follow these steps to join your telehealth session using the mobile app:

  • Open the Grow Therapy app on your iPhone and tap Log in.

  • Select your preferred login method.

  • From the coach screen, tap Join waiting room. This button is available ten minutes before your session begins.

You can also join using the session link in your appointment reminder email or text, or by navigating to the Appointments tab in the ☰ navigation menu.

Adjust your video and audio settings


Once you're in the session, you can test and adjust your settings:

  • Tap the β€’ β€’ β€’ More icon in the session controls.

  • Select Settings.

  • Use the tabs to toggle between Video and Audio settings.

  • In the Audio tab, tap Test to check your speakers, and speak into the microphone to confirm it's working.

Switch from mobile to web mid-session


If you need to switch from the app to the web version during a session, you can do so without losing your place:

  • Leave the session on your mobile device.

  • Use the session link from your booking confirmation email, or navigate to the Appointments tab in your client portal on a desktop browser and rejoin from there.


Troubleshoot session issues


If you're experiencing audio or video problems during a session:

  • Confirm you have a strong internet connection.

  • Close any other apps that may be using your camera or microphone.

  • Restart the Grow Therapy app and rejoin the session.

What is Grow Therapy telehealth? Telehealth allows you to meet with your provider through a secure video session instead of traveling to their office. The Grow Therapy telehealth platform is designed for HIPAA compliance, meaning your information and conversations are kept private and secure.

How much does Grow Therapy telehealth cost? Telehealth is available to Grow Therapy clients at no additional cost.

What if my provider hasn't joined when I tap Join session? You'll see an Enter waiting room button instead. Tap it to wait in the meeting room β€” you'll be brought in automatically once your provider joins.

Can other participants join my session on mobile? Not yet. Additional participants will need to join using the web version.
