Overview


What is Grow Therapy telehealth? Telehealth allows you to meet with your provider through a secure video session instead of traveling to their office. The Grow Therapy telehealth platform is designed for HIPAA compliance, meaning your information and conversations are kept private and secure

Is Grow Therapy telehealth required? Not all providers require telehealth, but it's often the most convenient way to attend appointments. With the mobile app, you don't need a laptop or special setup — just your phone or tablet. Using telehealth ensures you can meet your provider regularly, even if you're traveling, busy, or unable to attend in person.

How much does Grow Therapy telehealth cost? Telehealth is available to Grow Therapy clients at no additional cost.

Joining the session


How do I join my telehealth session using the app? Ten minutes before your session, a Join session button will appear in the appointment detail screen. You can also use the link in your reminder email or text.

Why do I see an option to join a waiting room? If your provider hasn't joined yet, you'll see an Enter waiting room button instead. Tap to wait in the meeting room until your provider arrives.

How will I know when my provider has joined the session? You'll see a message that says “Provider has joined.” If your provider hasn't joined yet, you'll stay on a waiting screen until they do.

Can family members or other session participants join on mobile, too? Not yet. Additional participants will need to join using the web version.

Can I switch from mobile to web mid-session? Yes. You can leave a session on mobile and rejoin using the web link sent to you at booking or through the Appointments tab.


Adjusting your settings


Do I need to enable permissions to use telehealth? Yes. Be sure to allow camera and microphone access. Audio-only sessions are also supported.

How do I edit my video settings? From the meeting room, you can adjust your video and test your audio settings by following these steps:

  • Tap the • • • More icon.

  • Select Settings.

  • Use the tabs to toggle between video and audio settings.

  • To test audio, click Test to check your speakers. Speak into the microphone to confirm it's working.

Troubleshooting technical issues


What should I do if I encounter technical issues? If you're experiencing audio or video problems:

  • Ensure you have a strong internet connection.

  • Close any other apps that may be using your camera or microphone.

  • Restart the Grow Therapy app and try again.

If issues continue, contact Support through the app.
