Which clients can I message in chat on telehealth? - You can message clients in your waiting room or clients that you’ve accepted into a session.

Will my clients be able to see chats after the session? - No, messages exchanged during the session will not be saved for clients or providers to review.

Will I be able to see messages after the session? - No, messages exchanged during the session will not be saved for clients or providers to review after the session.

Can I send attachments via chat? - No, attachments are not available in the telehealth chat. You can send attachments using the portal messaging if needed.

Can I send hyperlinks via chat? - Yes, you can send secure links (start with https://) via chat. All hyperlinks will open in a new tab.


Waiting room chat


To chat with a client in your waiting room, select the Chat button from the telehealth toolbar. You can quickly select a prewritten response, such as "Be right there!" or create a custom message. A client in the waiting room can also send you messages while they wait, as shown in the example below.

Session chat


To chat with a client during a session, select the Chat button from the telehealth toolbar to open the chat sidebar, as shown in the example below.
