Enable two-step verification

Learn how to enable two-step verification for improved account security.

Typically, logging into Grow Therapy requires just your username and password. With two-step verification enabled, logging in requires additional verification using a separate device, such as your mobile phone. This additional requirement significantly reduces the risk of an intruder gaining access to your account.


Enroll in two-step verification


To enable two-step verification:

  • Select your Account Name at the bottom left.

  • Select the Edit Profile option from the menu.

  • Select Login & Security under the "Account" settings header.

  • Select the Enroll option in the "2-Step Verification" section.

  • In the prompt, select Continue to log out and start the setup process.

  • Enter your login information as you typically would and follow the "Secure Your Account" prompt to set up two-step verification via Text Message or Voice Call.

TIP: 🌟 In the phone number field, please enter your phone number starting with the area code and do not include the country code.

Great! Your account is now more secure with two-step verification. A preview of the information you provided for verification will now appear in your account settings' Login & Security area.

Adding additional methods for two-step verification enhances account security by providing an alternative entry point if you lose access to your original device.

Add a phone number

To add an additional phone number for two-step verification:

  • Select your Account Name at the bottom left.

  • Select the Edit Profile option from the menu.

  • Select Login & Security under the "Account" settings header.

  • Select the Edit option in the "2-Step Verification" section.

  • In the prompt, select Continue to log out and verify your identity.

  • Input the 6-digit code provided by text message or voice call and select Continue.

  • Next, you'll automatically return to the Login & Security dashboard. In the "2-Step Verification" section, select the Add option and select Phone number.

  • Enter the phone number you wish to add and select Continue.

  • A pop-up confirmation message will confirm the addition of a two-factor method. Confirm by locating the total number of authentication methods, as seen below.

Use an authenticator app

To access your Login & Security settings, begin by completing the same steps as above.

  • Select Authenticator app from the drop-down list of verification methods.

  • Open your preferred Authenticator app, such as Google or Okta, and scan the QR code in the pop-up message or copy the code into the authenticator manually.

  • Grow Therapy should now be added to your list of vendors with unique numerical codes that refresh in the app every 30 seconds. Use this code when you have selected the Authenticator app option for two-step verification.

Generate a recovery code

To access your Login & Security settings, begin by completing the same steps as above.

  • Select Recovery code from the drop-down list of additional authentication options. ​

A pop-up message will generate a unique recovery code. Copy this recovery code and store it in a secure location. You will need it if you have to log in without your device. A new code will automatically generate after each use.

Choose a default option


After enabling two-factor and adding verification options, you can choose or update the default option for future identify verifications. To do so:

  • On the "Verify Your Identity" screen, select the > icon to the right of the phone number preview field to populate a list of your registered phone numbers.

  • Select Try another method to verify your identity with an additional method, such as a recovery code or authenticator app.
