Book a follow-up appointment

Learn how to quickly rebook with your therapist after your first session.

After your first session, you can schedule your next appointment directly through your client portal β€” no need to contact your provider separately. This guide walks you through the steps and covers what to do if you run into any issues along the way.

Book a follow-up appointment


Follow these steps to schedule your next appointment:

  • Log in to your client portal.

  • Locate the upcoming appointment section on your dashboard, and click Schedule an appointment.

  • Find your provider in the list and click Schedule.

  • Use your provider's availability calendar to choose a day and time that works for you.

  • Click Book now to confirm your appointment.

You'll see a confirmation message on screen and receive a confirmation email with your appointment details. Your telehealth link will be available in your client portal, your confirmation email, and your calendar invite.

Troubleshooting


My provider isn't showing in the list

If your provider doesn't appear when you click Schedule an appointment, a few things may be causing this:

  • Billing or insurance issue on your account. An outstanding billing issue can prevent scheduling. Check your client portal for any alerts or outstanding balances, or contact our support team to resolve it.

  • Your provider has left Grow Therapy. If your provider is no longer on the platform, they won't appear in your scheduling list. In this case, you'll need to find a new provider or request a match through the Client Success Team.

  • Your provider hasn't opened their calendar. Some providers manage their availability in batches. Message your provider to ask when their next available slots will open.

My provider has no availability

If your provider appears but has no open slots:

  • Try checking further ahead. Availability opens up regularly as providers update their calendars.

  • Message your provider directly to ask if an earlier time might work.

  • If you need to be seen sooner than your provider can accommodate, you can search for another provider who has earlier availability.


Frequently asked questions


Can I set up recurring appointments? You can't set up recurring appointments on your own, but your provider can do this for you. Message your provider through the client portal to request a recurring schedule.

Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment? Yes. If your appointment is more than 24 hours away, you can reschedule or cancel it directly through the client portal. For changes within 24 hours, contact your provider directly. Keep in mind that providers aren't obligated to accommodate last-minute changes β€” be sure to review your provider's specific cancellation policy.

My appointment was canceled due to a billing or insurance issue. How do I rebook? Once your billing or insurance information has been updated, follow the steps above to rebook. Rebooking creates a new appointment β€” you'll only be charged for sessions that take place, so there's no risk of being charged twice. If you're having trouble rebooking, contact our Support Team.

I want to book with a different provider. How do I do that? This article covers rebooking with your current provider. To book with a new provider, use the Grow Directory to find and schedule with someone new, or request a match through the Client Success Team.
