Create a superbill for a client

Learn how to create a superbill for a client's insurance claim.

A superbill is a detailed invoice that a client can submit to their insurance for reimbursement if you, as a Grow Therapy provider, are considered out of network.

🚨Note: Clients receiving a superbill should be scheduled and invoiced as cash-pay. The client should only receive and submit the superbill to their insurance for their out-of-network reimbursement afterward.

Create a superbill

To create a superbill:

  • Log into your provider portal. Are you not logged in? Login here.

  • From the Dashboard, select the Account Menu (your name) at the bottom left.

  • In the menu that appears, select the Additional Resources option.

  • Next, select the Billing folder to open it. Once you open the billing folder, you should see the superbill template and a completed example for reference.

  • Select the Superbill_Template.pdf to view the template.

  • Download or print the template to fill it out. Information on filling out a PDF on various systems, including Mac and PC, is available in this resource from HubSpot.

After the template has been filled out, you can give the superbill to your client to submit to their insurance for reimbursement.
