I'm awaiting approval - what now?

Recommended action items while you wait to become in-network with a payor.

Updated this week

Once the credentialing team has verified your credentialing form, they'll create and submit your applications to Grow's payor partners. You'll receive a confirmation email once they're all submitted. Payors generally start responding four to five weeks after submission, and it can take up to five months to hear from every payor. If you've been credentialed before, the timeline may be shorter.

Stay in touch

To provide insight into the credentialing process, you'll be invited to a credentialing portal that allows you to check the status of your credentialing applications so you always have the most up-to-date information. Once you're in-network with your first payor, you'll receive an invitation to create your separate provider portal.

The lag between communication can draw out the credentialing phase. Save these email addresses as contacts so vital communications regarding your process are less likely to go to spam or promotion folders.

Plan ahead

Waiting for these approvals can feel like you've come to a stall in your process with Grow, but it's a great time to focus on preliminary arrangements for running your private practice. Considering these arrangements is especially important if you're electing to run a private practice for the first time. If you have a mentor or a business coach who has gone through the process before, they can help walk you through the initial steps.
